In collaborating with international platforms to showcase notable African female role models, AWB has identified a serious gap in opportunities for Black women leaders to be recognized as key contributors to the global economy.

Despite their crucial role in the formal and informal economy as entrepreneurs, employees, care givers and innovators, Black women’s contributions have gone unrecognized. Yet, we know that economic empowerment has as much to do with how the world sees us and who speaks for us, as it has to do with pure economics. It is time for the insights and perspectives of Black women to inform economic development models of the future.

Join us for an evening with business leaders, innovators, academics and other thought leaders to chart a path toward accelerating the trajectory of black women into positions of leadership and responsibility globally.
