African Women on Board [AWB]@UNGA is our response to the United Nations General Assembly’s seventh annual High-Level Dialogue on Financing for Development. We know that no discussion on finance in developing nations is complete without an examination of the gendered disparities experienced at the societal level.
Black women play a pivotal role in the global economy directly as entrepreneurs, innovators and mavericks. Yet our contributions go unrecognized. Who is speaking up, standing up and showing up for us? It is time to mobilize emerging and established African women leaders to propel their successes, provide a platform towards economic empowerment, and be the catalyst in rewriting our narratives and contributions to the world.
We invite you to be part of this distinguished group of leaders, innovators and dignitaries from around the world in this unique global platform that’s paving the way for African women’s voices to be included in the global discourse on gender equity.
